Unlocking the Mysteries of Higher Consciousness

Introduction: The Journey Within

I still remember the day I first walked into Atmabhan’s wisdom hall. I was restless, searching for something undefined. Something I knew existed but couldn’t touch or name. That something was consciousness—the vast, infinite awareness that rests beyond the mind’s chatter.

Through years of Dhyaan, Upasana, and reflection, I have come to understand that consciousness is not a destination. It is the very fabric of our being—the eternal witness that watches everything unfold. Yet, most of us remain unaware of its presence, lost in the noise of the world.

But what happens when you unlock higher consciousness?
The transformation is subtle, yet profound. Let me take you through some of the insights I have gained on this journey with Atmabhan and Dhyaanguru Ashvin Deshpande.

Consciousness is Beyond the Mind

 1. Consciousness is Beyond the Mind

At first, I believed that higher consciousness meant thinking more clearly, more intelligently. But I was wrong. It is not the mind—it is beyond it. When I meditate, there are moments when the mind falls silent. In that silence, I feel an expansive awareness—a presence that is pure, still, and ever-observant. This is my true nature. It is who I am beyond my name, my body, my labels.

2. The Power of Stillness

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna describes the sthithaprajna—the one whose consciousness is unwavering, still in the face of storms.
Through Atmabhan’s guided meditation practices, I have experienced glimpses of this state.
In stillness, I feel the mind’s turbulence dissolve. Thoughts become like ripples on a lake—faint, inconsequential. In that space, pure awareness blossoms, and I realize that my being is eternal—untouched by worldly chaos.

3. Consciousness is Ever-Present

One of the greatest revelations I had was that consciousness is always present—even in sleep, even in chaos. It is the silent observer of my thoughts and actions. Even when I am distracted, it is there. Watching. Waiting. It is the background of my being, even when I am unaware of it. Realizing this gave me a sense of freedom. I am no longer bound by my emotions or thoughts—I am the one observing them.

4. Breaking Free from Identity

We live our lives through borrowed identities—titles, roles, and labels. But consciousness knows no identity. It simply is. During an Atmabhan Dhyaan session, I once had a glimpse of this freedom. For a fleeting moment, I forgot my name, my past, my story. All that remained was pure awareness—limitless and boundless. It was as if I had stepped out of the cage of identity and into infinity.

 5. Everyday Moments of Higher Consciousness

Unlocking higher consciousness is not about renouncing the world. It is about being fully awake in it. Now, when I sip my morning tea, I feel the warmth of the cup against my palms with deeper awareness. When I walk, I feel the earth beneath my feet as though it were part of me.
Every moment becomes a portal to higher awareness—if I am fully present.

6. Indian Wisdom: A Gateway to Higher Consciousness

Indian culture has long revered the science of consciousness. The Vedas call it “Chaitanya”—the universal, divine energy that pervades all existence. The Upanishads describe it as the “Witness Self”, eternal and unchanging. My time at Atmabhan made me realize that these aren’t mere concepts—they are living experiences, accessible to anyone who seeks sincerely.

7. The Power of Collective Consciousness

I have also realized that higher consciousness is not personal. It is collective. When I meditate with fellow seekers at Atmabhan, I feel the combined energy lifting me higher. In that shared stillness, there is oneness—no “you” or “me,” only the infinite presence.

Final Thoughts: The Infinite Journey

Unlocking higher consciousness is not a one-time event. It is a lifelong journey—of unlearning, dissolving, and expanding. Through Atmabhan’s philosophy and Ashvin Deshpande’s guidance, I have discovered that the greatest truths are already within me. I just need to be still enough to hear them.

So, if you are seeking, stop looking outward.
Turn inward. That is where the mysteries of consciousness await.
